The 2013 Carnegie International is coming!

Seven of the Scaife galleries—including our modern and contemporary collection—are currently closed in preparation for the upcoming 2013 Carnegie International, and they will reopen on June 8, 2013. In the past, the museum’s contemporary collection galleries have been de-installed during the International. This time, visitors will learn how past Internationals have shaped this important collection of modern and contemporary art, which includes great works acquired for the museum by prescient Carnegie International curators. The 2013 Carnegie International curators will highlight these works in a survey opening June 8 and continuing through the run of the exhibition. All of the other Scaife galleries featuring our ancient, Realist, and Impressionist collection will still be on view throughout the year!
