Two-Minute Film Festival Sneak Peek!
This year, my Independence Day was a little like Christmas. After weeks of wondering and waiting, I finally tore open and watched all of the Two-Minute Film Festival submissions that had been gathering at my desk. Sure, the wrapping wasn’t as flashy, but the return labels had piqued my interest, bearing names of places all over the country and some across the world. Plenty of Pittsburghers submitted too, and several of my favorites are of the homegrown variety. In the spirit of the Pittsburgh Biennial, which brings together the local and the global, I’ve posted two preview videos below to whet your appetite for the big event Thursday night, July 21: one from Pittsburgh and one from Herzliya, Israel. Both of these are snappy shorts related to the promises and illusions of the advertising industry. Join us for the Labor Party event to see 33 more video shorts that treat the theme of work, industry, and labor in other creative ways.
